 Where: WHN, 356 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville, NC Upstairs Board room 315 The Involuntary (IVC) / Outpatient Commitment (OPC) Training will include the following topics: Review of legal forms involved with IVC and OPC; Agencies responsibilities during the IVC or OPC commitment process; WHN involvement during the IVC or OPC commitment process; Procedure for removing a consumer from OPC; Procedure for managing non-compliant consumers on OPC; Procedure to continue OPC beyond original expiration; Procedure for relocation of OPC consumers. This training is intended for any staff person who may have to place a consumer on an involuntary commitment or who may need to follow a consumer placed on an outpatient commitment. Participants will receive 3 credit hours in Involuntary and Outpatient Commitment Procedures which will count towards the 20 hours of the State Mandated Training for endorsed providers.
PLEASE NOTE: "In an effort to reduce overhead expenses, Western Highlands LME is requesting that those individuals who choose to sign up and participate in the IVC/OPC Training, please print out both the Commitment Procedures PowerPoint as well as the IVC-OPC Supplemental Documents. These documents will be referenced and utilized during the training. Western Highlands will not provide copies of these documents at the training. Please be advised that PowerPoint can be printed 6 slides to a page and if printed double sided would include 12 slides to a page. The supplemental documents can also be printed front to back. We appreciate your participation and look forward to meeting you." |
