
CFAC (Consumer and Family Advisory Committee) is a 21 member committee of people, just like you, who have an interest in doing the work listed below. It can be hard work but rewarding; helping to provide better services for consumers. The CFAC committee consists of consumers and family members of consumers only.
Western Highlands Network (WHN) CFAC is one of the strongest community voices for people living with mental illness, substance abuse and intellectual/development disabilities in 8 counties.

North Carolina statute G.S. 122C-170(a) requires WHN to establish a CFAC which serves as an advisory partnership committee with responsibilities to:

When: CFAC meetings are scheduled the fourth Monday of each month.
Who May Attend: Meetings are open to the public.
Where: Most Meetings are held at 356 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801 (Board Room upstairs)
Please check the calendar for meetings that are moved throughout the eight counties.
Meeting Schedule: Community Connections begins at 5:45 p.m. Regular meeting begins promptly at 6:00 p.m. Minutes of the CFAC meetings are posted on this web site as quickly as possible following the meetings.
Attendance is supported with a stipend, mileage, child/adult care, and transportation if needed. »CFAC Flyer
