Training Policy has been tabled until membership is increased. Once new members are added, training can begin. Membership recruitment will be discussed during the January meeting.

F.I.R.S.T. Access Project (Janet Price-Ferrell)

Handout. Janet gave out information regarding the Access Project. Mike Brown is the trainer. Mike Brown has been in the business for over 15 years. WHN also helps fund the program.

Members can feel free to email Heidi any questions or suggestions regarding the Access Project.

WHN Update (Arthur Carder)
|
Arthur was sick and unable to attend. There is a handout regarding budget information within the CFAC packet. Please look over this information and email Heidi any questions that you may have.

Peer Support Specialist Training (Kim Franklin)
|
Andrea gave a brief summary about the training and introduced Kim Franklin. Kim gave a background on how Peer Employment Specialist Training came about. Kim was empowered by how the programs have inspired consumers on their way to recovery. Recovery Education Centers – A great program – Place where those adults without Medicaid can still get services.
WHN is asking if CFAC to support this issue. CFAC voted to support efforts of WHN LME in the peer support specialist arena. More information on this will be put together by WHN staff and CFAC for future presentation to the WHN Board.

Membership/Lunches
|
The idea is to have a lunch of head officials for brain storming on how we can recruit members.
|
Jim will write a letter regarding this issue and members along with Heidi’s help will sponsor a few lunches to support this project.
