Hospital Diversion Update  (Don Herring)

Handouts.  Don Herring handed out updated information.  Don discussed Bed Day usage and the decrease in usage.  The focus is getting consumers connected with follow up care and response.

WHN Update  (Arthur Carder)

Arthur made the suggestion of CFAC focusing on recruitment of members.  CFAC can do well and be very creditable but members are desperately needed.

Medicaid & Budget Issues (Arthur Carder)

Crisis Services are running in all eight counties.  A concern for taking on Medicaid is that there is no start up funding to take on the Medicaid Contract.  WHN has come up with a proposal that was sent to the state allocating funds for start up.  Many feel that WHN will do well with this contract.  Accreditations will not hold up this process.

New Benefit Package – BASIC BENEFIT PACKAGE (IPRS Consumers only) – Case Activation paperwork is the only paperwork needed for these services.  If client goes into higher level of service, is when more detailed paperwork will be needed.  This allows for the providers to serve many of these clients that really do not need such enhanced services.  No date for start up.

MIAC Meeting (Bill Cook)

Howard Graves and Bill Cook attended the MIAC (Mental Illness Advisory Council) Meeting on December 4th.
