An Urgent Message from Anne Doucette, Director of Provider and Consumer
Relations...
To all NVML Staff, New and Expanding Service Providers, and Case Responsible
Providers hiring NVML Staff:
It is the expectation that as NVML staff move to new agencies, they
will take their caseloads with them, so folks do not "fall through
the cracks". To this end, in meetings with New Vistas management,
Western Highlands has requested the following as staff identify where
they will be working:
Every staff person with a caseload must submit to Marsha Ring:
- A list of the consumers (name & ID) that are coming with them
to a new agency (we are hoping all)
- A list of the consumers (name & ID) that are not moving to that
agency
Western Highlands has agreed to roll over IPRS authorizations
to providers absorbing the NVML caseloads.
In order
to do this, we MUST HAVE EVERYONE'S LIST NO LATER THAN TUESDAY 10/31/06.
To date we have received relatively few lists although this agreement
was made weeks ago, and this is problematic.
We are concerned that this expectation has not filtered down to everyone
who should be involved.
NEW PROVIDERS: Please work with the folks you
are hiring to insure that this task is accomplished. Due to recent changeovers
in the NVML email addresses it is highly likely that this email will
not get to every NVML staff we have on our distribution lists! It is
extremely important that they all have this info.
For the consumers on these lists as received by 10/31/06, the IPRS rollover
will be automatic and no other documentation is requested from providers.
For consumer names not submitted by 10/31/06 Western Highlands will require
a SAR, PCP, IPRS, justification for service requests. Please folks, don't
do this to yourselves - it's just a simple list! The sooner the better
so we can be entering information.
See the 9/29/06 Friday Newsletter explaining the IPRS rollover process
available on the WHN website. We will work with providers to resolve
any glitches that occur in this process.
Thanks All! We appreciate the monumental efforts being made by NVML
staff and Provider agencies!
And Now an Important Word Regarding Consumers Receiving Clozaril and
Injections...

is not a Community Support Provider; therefore, it will be IMPERATIVE
that the community support provider coordinate these services with them.
