Western Highlands Network Relaxes Requirement for SA Intensive Outpatient Programs
In an attempt to further assist providers in the WHN catchment area, WHN will no longer require the submission of the SA IOP worksheet or the SA IOP utilization review form.Effective February 1, 2007, providers may simply request SA IOP on the SAR and submit the consumer’s PCP. Please note that WHN does require a crisis plan on the PCP.
Update on Access
In order to help facilitate immediate consumer follow-up, effective immediately, Access will be faxing ES contact sheets from the previous night to the provider, if the consumer and provider can be identified. Also effective immediately, the Access authorization for Community Support for IPRS funded consumers will be increased from 24 units in a 60 day period to 60 units for a 90 day period. Finally, Access is currently testing a new screening form which has been modified to incorporate the mandated reporting fields on the STR form. If you see one of these new documents and you have questions, please contact Access at 225-2800.
Still not getting those Letters of Notification? Try this!
If you are not getting your Letters of Notification on a timely basis, there are a couple of things to check.
- Check the email address that you are using on your SAR. Is it 32 characters or less?
- Check with your office manager to see if they received a copy of the LON.
- Check if your online service recently installed updates. After some services (AOL and Hotmail) are updated, the LON can be blocked as spam.
- Make sure as employees leave that their email addresses are deleted and new staff are added as soon as possible.
- If you have submitted a SAR and have not received an LON within
5 days and you have done all of the above, then call Kim Kuhn at 225-2800
for assistance.
