**TBI Web Based Training

We are very excited to inform you about the newest orientation and training program about traumatic brain injury (TBI) available in North Carolina.  www.nctbitraining.orgis an online orientation and training program available at no-cost to anyone interested in learning more about traumatic brain injury.  The website contains basic information about TBI, as well as resources available in NC and across the country for individuals and their families living with the effects of TBI.  The training was specifically designed for LME staff, health care professionals, and service providers however it could be helpful to individuals with TBI and their families.  The training consists of five training modules.  Each module is followed by a brief quiz to maximize the effectiveness of the training.  Please take a few minutes to review this website today.  The website is a direct result from feedback and suggestions given by LME staff, service providers, and individuals and families living with TBI during focus groups conducted across the state with funding made possible through NC DMH/DD/SAS.  We encourage all LME's in NC to make this website available to all staff who may have contact with someone living with a brain injury.  There is a link to the TBI Training website on the NC MH/DD/SAS website:  www.dhhs.state.nc.us/mhddsas/tbi as well as on the BIANC website:  www.BIANC.net.  TBI Project STAR at Carolina Rehabilitation and the Brain Injury Association of NC will continue to offer the TBI 101 Workshops as a more comprehensive training option.  Please contact TBI Project STAR with any questions or feedback at 704-355-1502.
